Welcome, to Fibromyalgia Support Group (North Kent).
This is the official website for the non-profit support group covering Dartford, Gravesend, Bexley, Sevenoakes, Erith, Sidcup, Swanley, Eltham, South East London and all the areas inbetween.
Our aim is to support, advise and keep people affected by Fibromyalgia up to date with information. No-one should feel isolated after receiving their diagnosis and being given their medical treatment plan. Rheumatologists, GP's and other medical professionals are frequently at a loss on how to treat us, therefore, until a cure is found we have to learn to manage our own Fibromyalgia Syndrome (FMS).
We offer information packs to our members, bi-monthly meetings, a library service, raffles, support and a chance to meet other people with the same condition and who understand how you are feeling. In addition we invite speakers to come and talk to the group. They discuss FMS research, alternative medicine, therapy, relaxation, benefits and more.
The whole purpose of the meetings is to exchange experiences and information, to share our own knowledge and experiences, discussing what works for us and what doesn't. If support means crying on someones shoulder, you will get that, but we prefer laughter and looking on the brighter side of this life-changing condition.
Hope you find the information useful! Lets cure Fibromyalgia!
